Our fabric selection is very unusual. We tend to carry the fabrics that normal fabric stores do not carry.
Embroidered Cotton/Blend Fabrics. Both Batiste and Voile. Several colors and patterns available.
100% Cotton--White Dotted Swiss, Navy and White small stripes, White with Red Polka Dot, Swiss Nelona in various colors, Domestic Cotton Batiste and Imported Cotton Batiste.
Silk/Rayon Velvet is available in dyable Ivory. We also carry a selection of patterns in Silk/Rayon burnout--also in ivory. Both varieties dye beautifully.
We carry an outstanding collection of silks in solids, micro
cord
, silk jacquard in small baby roses pattern (ivory for dying), and brocade
blends. We currently have silk
taffeta
in stock in the smallest check print in green and pink.
Our hottest fabric at the DAG convention was an all over sheer embroidered lace pattern. It is not 100% cotton, but you would never know it. It is beautiful not only for doll dresses (look at Betina's Dress) but was used in competition to cover the Fabrege Egg. It was put on sale at the convention for $14.98 per yard and we are honoring this sale till our bolts are gone.
We still have a good supply of vintage Rayon Velvet ribbon in two widths. This ribbon carrys a French label, and can be dyed or over-dyed very easily. It can be used in its original color or the color can be bleached out and re-dyed. We use Peerless Dyes for our ribbon and trim dying. The company is over 100 years old, and the dyes are the dyes that george Eastman used to dye his black and white photographs. We quite often use the dye in our "trailing bottles" Dyes are $33.00 for a set and trailing bottles are $5.95 each.
